Team owner Mike Shank received the exciting news from HRC US President David Salters, marking the team's comeback after a one-year hiatus. The partnership's revival follows MSR's strong performance in their previous season, despite earlier challenges.

The team has assembled an impressive driver lineup combining experience and fresh talent:

  • Car #60: Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist (returning drivers)
  • Car #93: Renger van der Zande (from Cadillac) and Nick Yelloly (from BMW Team RLL)
  • Rolex 24 additions: Felix Rosenqvist, Kakunoshin Ohta, Alex Palou, and Scott Dixon

MSR has retained nearly all of its 2023 engineering staff, losing only one member from a team of 23. The program features a unique engineering structure, with MSR leading one car and HRC heading the other, creating a collaborative 100-person operation.

While the ARX-06 has received software updates since MSR's last IMSA race, the mechanical aspects remain largely unchanged. This consistency should benefit the team, particularly in the early season races.

Following successful testing at the Roar Before the 24, MSR maintains high expectations, with Shank confident in the team's ability to challenge for podium positions. The team's return demonstrates Acura's continued commitment to top-level sports car racing and sets the stage for an exciting 2025 season.
