New Records & Milestone Wins Highlight World of Outlaws Late Model 2024 Season
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series marked its 20th revival anniversary with a landmark 2024 season, featuring record-breaking performances and thrilling races across the country.
Brandon Sheppard claimed his record-breaking fifth World of Outlaws championship, driving the No. B5 Sheppard Riggs Racing Longhorn. His consistent performance included 13 podium finishes, 23 top fives, and 35 top 10s - the most of any driver in 2024.

Bobby Pierce, despite an early setback at Volusia Speedway Park, delivered an outstanding season with 28 top fives and 33 top-10s. He secured 13 Series wins and collected 38 Late Model Feature victories overall, earning over $1.1 million in prize money.

Notable achievements included:
- Nick Hoffman, Ryan Gustin, and Brian Shirley each captured five wins
- Dustin Sorensen earned MD3 Rookie of the Year honors
- Longhorn Chassis won Chassis Builder of the Year
- Clements Racing Engines received Engine Builder of the Year

The season's top five races were:
- Fairbury Speedway (July 28)
- Farmer City Raceway (April 12)
- Marion Center Raceway (May 18)
- Deer Creek Speedway (July 5)
- The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Nov. 8)
The 2024 season also honored the "Dirty Dozen" - the original twelve drivers who helped revive the series in 2004, including the late Scott Bloomquist and current Series director Steve Francis.
The 2025 season kicks off with the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, January 22-25.
