Roy Silvers Memorial Race Opens 68th Season at Outlaw Speedway
The Roy Silvers Memorial event kicks off Outlaw Speedway's 68th consecutive racing season, marking the first full point-paying show of 2025. After weather disruptions in April, the track is ready for an exciting season opener.

The May 2nd event features the Super 5 Show with significant prize money across divisions:
- Friendly Chrysler Modifieds: $3,068 (35-lap feature)
- Knapp and Schlappi Lumber Sportsman: $2,068
- Swarthout Recycling Street Stock: $1,568
- NAPA Hobby Stocks: $1,068
- Winner's Circle Deli Mini Stocks: $1,068
The event honors Roy Silvers, a prominent Elmira businessman and racing supporter who passed away from COVID-19 in December 2020 at age 66. Buckley's Tire and Brake of Horseheads sponsors this memorial race.
Track Requirements:
- All Modified and Sportsman teams must use 44/48 minimum hardness American Racer Tire combination
- Drivers must register at myracepass.com
- Free camping available on-site
- Two drinking establishments: Turn 4 Tavern and Outlaw Saloon
