Perez Firmly States His Red Bull F1 Future Is Secure for 2025
Sergio Perez has firmly stated he will continue driving for Red Bull Racing in 2025, despite ongoing speculation about his future with the team. The Mexican driver maintains nothing has changed regarding his contract situation, which was renewed earlier this year.

The situation has drawn attention due to Perez's significant 277-point deficit to teammate Max Verstappen this season, leading to Red Bull's failure to secure the constructors' championship. Helmut Marko has confirmed an upcoming shareholder meeting to discuss Perez's position, though the driver remains focused on the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
"I have a contract for next year and I will be driving for Red Bull next year," Perez stated firmly. "I've seen the rumors, but nothing different to the last couple of ones."
Addressing the team's concerns, Perez acknowledged the challenging season while emphasizing the importance of team unity. "The season hasn't been the greatest, but there's a reason why they renewed me. They know I can still do it," he explained.
Perez also highlighted the unique challenges of being Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull, cautioning against underestimating the role's demands. "Being teammates with Max at Red Bull for a young driver, I wouldn't like to be in those shoes," he remarked, emphasizing the exceptional levels of experience, capacity, and mental strength required for the position.
The Mexican driver takes partial responsibility for the team's performance but maintains that success and failure are collective efforts within the organization, saying, "I take responsibility, but also I don't feel it's all down to one person."
