The design maintains strong similarities with the current Cayenne, featuring rectangular headlights reminiscent of the Macan EV and a streamlined front bumper for improved aerodynamics. The vehicle will be available in both traditional SUV and coupe body styles, with the latter featuring a distinctive sloping roofline.

Built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), shared with the Macan EV and Audi Q6 e-tron, the Cayenne EV is expected to feature an enhanced version of this architecture. The battery capacity may exceed the Macan's 100kWh pack to compensate for the larger vehicle size, potentially surpassing the Macan's 381-mile range.
