Robert Wickens completed initial testing of DXDT Racing's No. 36 Bosch/Mobil1 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R at Sebring International Raceway, preparing for his upcoming race debut at Long Beach. The car features Bosch's innovative hand-control braking system.

"I am acclimating quickly to the Corvette Z06 GT3.R — it's a great race car," Wickens said. "The Bosch system is delivering excellent performance."

Two-time GTLM champion Tommy Milner will join Wickens as co-driver. Milner has already tested the Bosch system, which uses a button to activate the pedals, during straight-line tests in January.

The Long Beach race will mark Wickens' first street circuit competition using hand controls. His last appearance at Long Beach was during his 2018 IndyCar rookie season, before suffering spinal injuries at Pocono later that year.

Following his accident, Wickens made a remarkable return to racing after 1258 days, competing in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with Bryan Herta Autosport. Driving a Hyundai equipped with hand controls, he secured three wins and the 2023 series title, becoming North America's first motorsports champion using hand controls.

Bosch partnered with Wickens in 2024 to develop a versatile hand control system compatible with various racing platforms, enabling his return to elite professional racing. He will compete in all IMSA WeatherTech Championship sprint races this season with DXDT Racing.
