Rolex 24: Epic Porsche-BMW GTP Battle Intensifies with 4 Hours Remaining

With just four hours remaining in the 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona, Porsche Penske Motorsport's Laurens Vanthoor maintains the lead, with BMW M Team RLL making a strong challenge between the two factory Porsches.

Kevin Magnussen in the No. 24 BMW M Hybrid V8 has overtaken Matt Campbell's No. 6 Penske Porsche 963, while Mathieu Jaminet has since taken over driving duties. Vanthoor holds an eight-second lead in GTP, with Colin Braun's No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 running fourth as the last car on the lead lap.

In LMP2, Dane Cameron is extending his lead in the No. 99 AO Racing ORECA, followed by Le Mans winner Nicklas Nielsen in the No. 88 AF Corse ORECA. Sebastian Alvarez holds third for Tower Motorsports, with Ryan Dalziel fourth for ERA Motorsport.

GTD PRO sees a tight battle with five different manufacturers in the top five. Connor De Phillippi leads in the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO, with Tommy Milner's No. 4 Corvette Racing Z06 GT3.R just 1.5 seconds behind. Luca Stolz runs third in GetSpeed's No. 69 Mercedes-AMG GT3, followed by Chris Mies in the No. 65 Ford Multimatic Mustang GT3.

In GTD, Marvin Kirchhöfer's No. 13 AWA Corvette leads Tom Sargent's No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche by five seconds. Philip Ellis holds third in the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG, with Heart of Racing's Tom Gamble in fourth.

Notable retirements include the No. 21 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3, while the No. 78 Forte Racing Lamborghini and No. 023 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari undergo repairs in the garage.
