The program includes end-of-season bonuses for the three drivers accumulating the most hard luck awards, with the overall recipient receiving the "Hard Luck of the Season" trophy.
Darryl Ruggles, 2020 CRSA Sprints Champion and owner of Ruggles World of Autobody, explains: "Every race needs an extra incentive. It's not an award that anyone wants, but if you have a bad night, which we all do, those are the guys that need that pick me up."
Mike Emhof, series operator, acknowledges Ruggles' significant contribution to the 305 class and appreciates the addition of this post-race bonus for unlucky competitors.
