Rwanda Confirms Formula 1 Grand Prix Bid to Bring Racing Back to Africa
Rwanda and Formula 1 are in active negotiations to bring Grand Prix racing back to Africa, as confirmed by Rwandan President Paul Kagame during the FIA General Assembly in Kigali.
The bid aligns with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali's vision to establish Formula 1 as a truly global championship by adding an African race to complement existing events across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australasia.

- Renovated Amphora Stadium
- Future Zaria Courts Complex
President Kagame emphasized that Rwanda's approach focuses on:
