Igor Fraga dominated the final day of Super Formula's three-day winter test at Suzuka Circuit, leading all rookie sessions in the No. 64 Nakajima Racing Dallara/Honda. His morning session time of 1m36.077s ranked fifth best among all 30 drivers across the three-day test.

The rookie-only test day featured 12 drivers in two 90-minute sessions. Notable performances included:

  • Seita Nonaka (TGR-DC academy) finished second quickest in the No. 8 KCMG Toyota
  • Haas F1 driver Oliver Bearman impressed in third, completing 43 laps in his first Suzuka experience
  • Super Formula Lights champion Syun Koide placed fourth in the B-Max Racing Honda
  • Nissan factory driver Mitsunori Takaboshi rounded out the top five

Several incidents marked the day:

  • Riki Okusa crashed at 200R on his out lap, ending his test early
  • Zak O'Sullivan and James Hedley had minor offs at Degner and Spoon curves respectively
  • Yuui Tsutsumi made contact with barriers at the S-Curves but walked away unhurt

The 2025 Super Formula Championship kicks off with a double-header at Suzuka on March 8-9, marking the start of a 12-round season.

The test provided valuable experience for newcomers, particularly Bearman, who will return to Suzuka for the F1 Japanese Grand Prix in April. His participation was facilitated through Haas' partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing.
