
Scott Dellinger Triumphs in Thrilling BAPS Season Opener
Scott Dellinger grabs the checkered flag at BAPS Motor Speedway's 2024 season opener, outdueling Kenny Edkin in a thrilling last-lap battle during the GA Smith Towing Super Sportsman main event.

After taking the lead on lap 2, Dellinger controlled most of the 25-lap feature until a late caution on lap 24 set up a dramatic single-file restart. Edkin mounted a strong challenge with a slidejob in the final turn, but Dellinger prevailed at the finish line.
"It was a good race, and he raced me clean," Dellinger said. "We made some changes after the heat race and the car was really good."
Jay Fannasy finished third, followed by John Edkin in fourth and Matt Ondek completing the top five.
In other division results:
- Adams & Son HVAC Late Models: Lane Snook dominated the final 10 laps, finishing half a lap ahead of Chad Smith. Jake Moser, Sammy Rial, and Gene Knaub rounded out the top five.
- East Coast Legends: Colton Friese led wire-to-wire for the last 8 laps, beating Jeremy Ott, Logan Carbaugh, Scott Houdeshell, and Seth Kirchner.
