Stewart Friesen Dominates Doug Hoffman Memorial Race at Bridgeport After Cross-Country Flight
Stewart Friesen secured his fourth victory of the season at the STSS Doug Hoffman Memorial race at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, showcasing his ability to balance NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series commitments with dirt track racing. Fresh from Miami, Friesen outdueled Alex Payne in a late-race battle for the win.

The race featured a fast-paced track where Friesen strategically managed his tire wear while keeping pace with leader Alex Payne. The winning move came late in the race when Friesen used his experience to pressure Payne, eventually making the pass after some contact between the two drivers in turn one.
"The track tonight was really fast, and Alex was setting a superfast pace," Friesen explained. "I was just trying to pace myself, stay with him, and save my tires for the end."
The track's characteristics made passing particularly challenging, with one predominant fast lane. Friesen noted that aggressive driving was necessary for overtaking, especially during restarts: "You have to be very aggressive with what's in front of you while being aware of what's behind you."
Friesen continues his busy schedule with another doubleheader weekend ahead, splitting time between the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Martinsville, VA, and the Super DIRTcar Series event at New Egypt Speedway.
