STSS Hoffman Memorial: Friesen Reclaims Series Wins Lead at Bridgeport
A comprehensive recap of the STSS Hoffman Memorial race at Bridgeport shows Stewart Friesen claiming his 52nd STSS career win, putting him back on top of the all-time win list ahead of Matt Sheppard's 51 victories. This marked the 204th STSS event overall and the 8th at Bridgeport across its various configurations.

Notable performances included Matt Sheppard's second-place finish after starting 11th, extending his STSS South Series points lead to 14 over Dillion Steuer. Anthony Perrego impressed with a top-5 finish after starting 24th.
The 126 car, owned by Glenn and Bonita Hyneman, returned to action with Dominick Buffalino behind the wheel, featuring a new Morrison big-block engine. Despite setting fast time in qualifying, Buffalino's race ended early due to a flat tire after contact with Sheppard.
The race saw several notable incidents, including a late-race collision between Alex Yankowski and Ryan Godown that also collected Billy Osmun. Only 14 of the 30 starters completed the event. Billy Pauch Jr., who started on pole, retired early due to power steering failure.
Looking ahead, Friesen will compete in the NASCAR Truck Series at Martinsville before the Super DIRTcar Series opener at New Egypt Speedway. The next STSS event is scheduled for May 6th at Accord Speedway.
The event honored Doug Hoffman, a former promoter and competitor who ranks among Bridgeport's top-5 all-time winners with 123 victories, joining the ranks of Jimmy Horton, Billy Pauch Sr., Wade Hendrickson, and Rick Laubach.
