United Autosports Claims LMP2 Victory at Rolex 24 Following Tower Motorsports Technical Violation
United Autosports has claimed victory in the LMP2 class at the 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona following a technical violation by Tower Motorsports. The original winners were penalized after post-race inspection revealed their car's skid block exceeded the maximum allowed wear of five millimeters.

The No. 22 United Autosports ORECA 07, driven by Daniel Goldburg, Paul di Resta, Rasmus Lindh, and James Allen, moves up from second place to claim the win. They finished the race 44.697 seconds behind Tower Motorsports before the penalty was applied.
This victory marks United Autosports' second major 24-hour race win in eight months, following their LMP2 class victory at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. For James Allen, it's his second Daytona LMP2 win in three years, while Goldburg, Di Resta, and Lindh secure their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victories.
The revised podium positions show:
- 1st: No. 22 United Autosports
- 2nd: No. 74 Riley ORECA
- 3rd: No. 52 PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports
In a separate penalty, the No. 21 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 was relegated to last place (22nd) in the GTD class for exceeding maximum driver time limits, as Stevan McAleer drove more than the permitted four hours within a six-hour period overnight.
Tower Motorsports' protest against their penalty was denied by IMSA, confirming their demotion to 12th and last place in LMP2. Their drivers John Farano, Sebastien Bourdais, Sebastian Alvarez, and Job van Uitert will not receive credit for the victory.
