In Le Mans Prototype 3 (P3), Valentino Catalano controlled the race in his No. 30 Gebhardt Intralogistics Motorsports Duqueine D08, leading 20 of 21 laps from pole position. Despite briefly losing the lead to Brian Thienes after a restart, Catalano quickly reclaimed first place and secured his team's second consecutive 1-2 finish.
Adam Adelson dominated the Grand Touring Daytona X (GTDX) class in his No. 24 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, winning by an impressive 26.324 seconds. Despite a brief challenge from Kyle Washington, Adelson maintained control throughout the race on the gradually drying track.
In Grand Sport X (GSX), Kiko Porto overcame a 10-second post-race penalty to claim victory in his No. 8 RAFA Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. Porto's superior pace allowed him to build a 21.283-second lead, enough to maintain first place even after the penalty was applied.
The challenging conditions, with teams running on Michelin wet-weather tires on a drying track, showcased the drivers' skill and adaptability. The VP Racing SportsCar Challenge will continue with rounds three and four at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, from February 28 through March 1, 2025.
