Carlos Sainz's move to Williams marks a significant step in the team's ambitious plans for the 2025 Formula 1 season. Following his initial test in Abu Dhabi, Sainz expressed optimism about the team's potential.

Williams will unveil their new FW47 car at Silverstone on February 14, with the race livery reveal scheduled for the F1 75 event at London's O2 Arena on February 18.

"I was very impressed with the team back in Abu Dhabi," Sainz stated, highlighting the motivation and effort demonstrated during testing. "We've developed a solid plan and are already working to ensure optimal preparation for pre-season testing and the first race."

Team Principal James Vowles revealed that Williams has been focused on their 2025 car development for some time, balancing current season preparations with the upcoming 2026 regulation changes. The team has strengthened its position by recruiting top engineers from across the grid and implementing new facilities at their Grove headquarters.

Williams joins Ferrari in announcing their 2025 car launch plans, with Ferrari set to reveal their car on February 19 in Maranello. While all ten teams will participate in the F1 75th season launch event in London, they are only required to showcase their race liveries rather than their complete new cars at this event.

The team's commitment to returning to the front of the grid is evident in their comprehensive approach to the 2025 season, combining experienced drivers, engineering talent, and infrastructure improvements.
