The No. 21 team has shown remarkable performance in the first five races of the NASCAR Cup Series season, securing one victory, two top-10 finishes, and currently sitting 13th in standings. Berry's average finish is 18.6, with 74 laps led across the season.
Crew chief Miles Stanley emphasizes their ambitious goals: "We want to win a race, make the playoffs, and advance in the playoffs. I strongly believe we can be a contender week in and week out."
The team's breakthrough came at Las Vegas, where Berry passed Daniel Suarez with 13 laps remaining to claim his first Cup Series victory and the Wood Brothers' 101st win. This success followed a historic fourth-place finish at Phoenix Raceway—the team's first-ever top-five finish at that track.
The positive momentum is evident in their performance metrics, with Berry maintaining an impressive 7.88 average running position at Las Vegas, ranking third best behind William Byron and Kyle Larson.
Eddie Wood, team co-owner, attributes the success to perfect chemistry: "When things click, they click. This feels like everything is clicking. Josh fits us. Miles fits us. Everything just fits." This early success suggests a promising season ahead for the historic racing organization.
