Marko criticizes Hadjar's emotional response to Australian GP formation lap crash
Helmut Marko has criticized Red Bull junior driver Isack Hadjar's emotional response after crashing during the Australian Grand Prix formation lap. The Racing Bulls rookie lost control at Turn 2 in wet conditions while attempting to generate tire temperature, ending his Formula 1 debut before the race began.

Marko called Hadjar's visible tears "a bit embarrassing" while speaking to Austrian broadcaster ORF. However, the paddock largely disagreed with Marko's assessment, with Lewis Hamilton's father Anthony offering support to the devastated rookie.
"When I saw it happen, my heart just sank for him," Hamilton told Sky Sports, emphasizing the years of hard work that led to this moment. He approached Hadjar to encourage him, believing in the young driver's potential.
Hadjar explained that his aggressive approach to tire warming caused the incident. Despite his disappointment, he expressed gratitude for Anthony Hamilton's supportive gesture, noting "He knows what tough times are... he came to comfort me."
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner defended Hadjar's reaction, highlighting the young driver's strong performance throughout practice and qualifying. "You forget that these guys are just kids really," Horner said, encouraging Hadjar to focus on the positives from the weekend and his promising future in the sport.
