Young Guns Challenge Veterans as Radical Cup Season Opens at Sebring

The Radical Cup North America launches its 2025 season at Sebring International Raceway with nearly 30 drivers from four nations competing across three classes. The field includes seven rookies and multiple former champions, setting the stage for an exciting generational battle.

The 28 entries are distributed across three classes:

Platinum Class (10 drivers):

  • Features former SCCA Runoffs winner Chip Romer
  • Canadian Wayne Williams joins One Motorsports
  • JBR team fields three drivers including former Pro 1340 champion Louis Schriber
  • Most competitors will pilot the new SR10 XXR machines

Pro 1500 Class (8 drivers):

  • Spencer Schmidt, son of racing icon Sam Schmidt, joins Graham Rahal Performance
  • Radien Nicol returns after an impressive debut at Barber
  • Features 2021 class champion Gustavo Rafols
  • Includes 2023 Pro 1340 Champion Austin Riley

Pro 1340 Class (10 drivers):

  • Crown Concepts fields four entries, including father-son duo Jace and Seth Bacon
  • Aurora Straus returns with Primal Racing
  • Three Canadian drivers join the competition

2025 Race Schedule:

  • Sebring International Raceway: February 27 – March 2
  • Barber Motorsports Park: May 1 – 4
  • Road America: June 19 – 22
  • WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca: July 25 – 27
  • Road Atlanta: September 11 – 13
  • Lime Rock Park: October 17 – 18
  • Radical World Finals: TBC

The series is open to local and regional Radical racers of all ages with eligible cars. The season promises strong competition across all classes, with events alongside IndyCar at several prestigious venues throughout the year.
