Smith's history with FRM includes significant success in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, highlighted by the 2022 championship. During that season, he secured four wins, 14 top-five finishes, and led 492 laps. In 2023, he continued his success by defending wins at Daytona and Circuit of The Americas.

His Cup Series experience includes 45 races with notable achievements:

  • Runner-up finish at Nashville Superspeedway (2024)
  • Fifth place at Watkins Glen International (2024)
  • Five top-10 and 17 top-20 finishes overall
  • Strong performances in two Daytona 500 races

Ryan Bergenty will serve as Smith's crew chief for the No. 38 team, continuing their partnership from 2023. Team owner Bob Jenkins expressed confidence in Smith's ability to win in the Cup Series, building on their previous success together.

"I've always felt at home with Front Row Motorsports," Smith said. "Front Row has really taken their Cup program to another level, and I cannot think of a better line-up of teammates. Todd and Noah are great friends of mine, and we all have a lot to prove as young drivers in the Cup Series."

This signing completes FRM's driver lineup for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, positioning the team for continued growth and success in NASCAR's premier division.
