IndyCar engineering veteran Ross Bunnell moves to Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) from Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) as part of their new technical alliance. Bunnell, who previously engineered Scott Dixon's No. 9 Honda to three wins and a championship runner-up finish in 2023, will now lead Felix Rosenqvist's No. 60 Honda program at MSR.

Angela Ashmore joins MSR to continue working with Marcus Armstrong on the No. 66 Honda, maintaining their successful partnership from CGR. Neil Fife, previously with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and MSR's IMSA program, takes on the crucial role of liaison engineer between MSR and CGR.

The technical alliance has shown promising early results, with Bunnell already impressing during Logan Sargeant's test at The Thermal Club. Mike Shank praised Bunnell's technical expertise and compatibility with the team's culture, particularly noting his potential chemistry with Rosenqvist.

MSR's transition from their previous five-year Andretti alliance to CGR has been smooth, with successful testing sessions demonstrating strong collaboration between the teams. The partnership includes comprehensive technical support, with CGR providing damper specialists and engineering resources during testing programs.

Fife will also serve as race engineer for Helio Castroneves at the Indianapolis 500, while continuing his role in development projects. The new engineering structure positions MSR to build upon their previous successes while leveraging CGR's technical expertise and resources.
