Crone, who hails from California, brings extensive racing experience across multiple disciplines, including USAC Midget and Sprint Cars, LMP3 cars, single-seaters, and dirt bikes. She previously competed as a wild card entry in the Miami Grand Prix round of F1 Academy and currently races in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American Championship.
Team Principal Ayao Komatsu praised F1 Academy's growing popularity and emphasized Crone's ambition and dedication as key factors in her selection. The team will provide her with comprehensive support and learning opportunities within their Formula 1 organization.
Crone will race for ART Grand Prix in Haas colors, taking over from current driver Chloe Chambers, who sits fourth in the championship and will move to Red Bull next season.
"Representing America's F1 team is a dream come true," said Crone. "Ever since competing in Miami as a wild card entrant, racing full-time in F1 Academy has been my goal. Working with MoneyGram Haas F1 Team gives me the best chance for success, and making the most of this opportunity is my top priority."
