Lando Norris opens up about his emotional state following the Brazilian Grand Prix, where his Formula 1 championship hopes significantly diminished. Max Verstappen now has the opportunity to secure the title at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver needs to outscore Verstappen by three points to keep his title hopes alive. Despite strong recent performances, including a Sprint victory that left him 44 points behind Verstappen, the gap widened after a challenging race in Brazil where Norris finished sixth.

"Post-Brazil was tough for me. It was the first moment when I realized first position is now really difficult to achieve," Norris admits. Despite the setback, he maintains his approach won't change, emphasizing that his recent performance strategy has been effective.

The turning point in Brazil came with an unfortunately timed red flag, which Norris believes significantly impacted his championship prospects. "For a week I was pretty down after Brazil because I had that realization that things are pretty much out of my control now," he reveals.

Reflecting on the role of luck in Formula 1, Norris acknowledges its unpredictable nature: "Luck can be on your side, it can be on other people's side. That's life. One day it will go your way, the next it won't." He references his earlier win in Miami, where a fortunate safety car timing worked in his favor, demonstrating the sport's inherent variability.

Despite the circumstances, Norris remains focused on delivering strong performances while maintaining a positive outlook for the remaining races.
