Led by Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA), the Women with Drive Summit – Driven by Mobil 1 (WWDIV) promotes and advances women's roles across all motorsport disciplines. This fourth annual gathering marks its first appearance in the "Racing Capital of the World."
The summit serves multiple purposes:
- Celebrates achievements of women in motorsport engineering, design, racing, and media
- Provides mentorship and professional development opportunities
- Facilitates networking among industry professionals
- Creates pathways for the next generation of women leaders
WIMNA Executive Director Cindy Sisson emphasizes that WWDIV is "more than an event — it's a movement that honors the resilience and skill of women who have paved the way and those who will continue to break new ground."
The initiative's impact is already evident in academic settings. Belmont Abbey College's motorsport program has seen female student enrollment increase from four to fifteen students in three years, according to Dr. Lindsay Hofferberth, Assistant Professor of Sport & Motorsport Management.
Mobil 1, the world's leading synthetic motor oil brand, continues its support of the summit, demonstrating commitment to inclusion in motorsports. Michelle Hassinger, OEM Marketing Manager for ExxonMobil, states their pride in ensuring women are "visible, valued and celebrated in every aspect of the industry."
The event takes place December 9-11 in Indianapolis, with registration still open for interested participants.
