The grid consists of 27 full-time IndyCar Series entries plus seven Indy-only additions. Notable teams are maintaining their standard entries without expansion:

- Chip Ganassi Racing: 3 cars (down from 5 in 2024)
- Dale Coyne Racing: 2 cars
- Juncos Hollinger Racing: 2 cars

Several teams considered additional entries but opted against expansion:
- Abel Motorsports will focus on supporting the rookie effort at Dale Coyne Racing
- Bryan Herta Autosport will skip this year's race, targeting a 2026 return
Katherine Legge remains the only potential additional entry, actively seeking a chassis. However, Chevrolet has confirmed their maximum capacity of 18 cars, leaving Honda as the only manufacturer able to support a 35th entry if Legge's effort materializes.
