Driving the No. 5 Proton Competition Porsche 963, Andlauer joins an impressive lineup including 2016 Le Mans winner Neel Jani, 2022 Sebring winner Tristan Vautier, and GTP newcomer Nico Pino.

The 25-year-old French driver comes with notable experience from the FIA WEC, where he achieved two top-10 finishes with Proton, including a fifth-place finish at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

Proton Competition has confirmed their Porsche 963 will participate in all five Michelin Endurance Cup events, despite earlier uncertainty following Porsche's December announcement about privateer entries.

The team will also field two additional entries at Daytona:

  • No. 20 Porsche 911 GT3 R (GTD PRO) with Claudio Schiavoni, Matteo Cressoni, Richard Lietz, and Thomas Preining
  • No. 83 Proton Porsche 992 (GTD) for Iron Dames team featuring Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting, and Karen Gaillard

Team Principal Christian Ried emphasized the race's significance as a season benchmark, particularly for the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. Michael Ried, Team Principal and CTO, noted the team's thorough preparation and anticipation for competing against strong opposition, with final adjustments planned during the traditional Roar.
