BMW M Team's Dries Vanthoor Clinches Last-Minute Pole for Rolex 24 at Daytona

Dries Vanthoor secured BMW M Team RLL's first IMSA pole position for the 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona with a last-minute lap of 1m33.895s in frigid conditions.

The qualifying session saw dramatic moments, including a red flag when Sheldon van der Linde's No. 25 BMW stopped during out laps. The subsequent six-minute sprint to the finish featured contact between Tom Blomqvist's Acura and Mirko Bortolotti's Lamborghini near Speedway Turn 1.

Nick Yelloly claimed second in the No. 93 Acura with 1m34.186s, while Felipe Nasr took third in the No. 7 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963.
