Despite mechanical setbacks in 2024, Daum managed two victories and finished fifth in championship points. Team co-owner Steve Carbone expresses confidence in their preparations for 2025, stating they've addressed previous mechanical issues.
Key joins the team in the Stanton-powered Spike Chassis No. 9U, while Daum continues in the flagship No. 7U. Key brings experience from Micro Sprints and Winged Sprint Cars, having already tested with the team during the 2024 season finale at Jacksonville Speedway.

Daum praises Key's talent, noting that his experience in Winged Sprint Cars will benefit his Midget racing performance. Key will maintain a busy schedule, competing in both the Xtreme Outlaw Series and part-time Winged Sprint Car races with Beaver Racing.
Since its humble beginnings in 2018 as a single-car team for the Chili Bowl Nationals, Trifecta Motorsports has evolved into a competitive multi-car operation. With enhanced sponsorship support and an experienced crew led by Bobby Milliser, the team is well-positioned for the 2025 championship chase.
The 2025 Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series season opens at Farmer City Raceway in Illinois on April 11-12, with all races available for streaming on DIRTVision.
