Formula 1 drivers face constant pressure to perform, and Alpine's Jack Doohan remains unfazed by Franco Colapinto's arrival as reserve driver. Doohan acknowledges the competitive nature of F1, where only 20 drivers compete at the sport's highest level.

Despite Colapinto joining Alpine on a multi-year agreement through Williams, Doohan maintains his confidence, stating, "I've been told he's reserve driver." He emphasizes that pressure exists regardless of internal or external factors, given F1's competitive nature.

"I know when I was a go-karter, Formula 3, Formula 2, I would have done anything to be in Formula 1, and sacrifice everything," Doohan reflects, highlighting his commitment to the sport.

When questioned about the unusual situation of having a young reserve driver on a multi-year deal, Doohan dismissed concerns about feeling undermined, noting that he himself was a 21-year-old reserve driver with a long-term contract last year.

The topic of Doohan's future with Alpine and Colapinto's position was later restricted during press conferences at the F1 75 Live launch event in London. Following these discussions, Alpine announced a new partnership with Mercado Libre, a Latin American e-commerce platform that previously sponsored Williams during Colapinto's tenure.
