Ferrari Shows Strong Improvement Despite Hamilton's Early Test Conclusion
Ferrari's new 2025 car shows promising improvements despite Lewis Hamilton's early testing stoppage, according to team principal Fred Vasseur. The session ended prematurely when telemetry anomalies forced Hamilton to return to the garage during a race simulation.

Despite varying track conditions in Bahrain, Vasseur expressed confidence in the car's winter developments, particularly the front suspension modifications. However, he emphasized that Melbourne's significantly different conditions (45°C track temperature compared to Bahrain's 10-15°C) will present a clearer picture of the car's true performance.
Hamilton remained optimistic despite the early finish, highlighting the team's strong progress during testing. "We've managed to gather a lot of good information to build on before the season starts," said Hamilton, looking forward to his Ferrari debut in Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Mercedes also reported significant progress, with George Russell posting the fastest time on the final testing day. Mercedes' trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin noted that the team completed the most laps during testing, successfully addressing the W15's previous weaknesses.
The true competitive order remains unclear until the season opener in Melbourne, where teams will face real racing conditions for the first time in 2025.
