The victory was particularly meaningful for Balog, who started racing Sprint Cars at age 20 after competing in snowmobile racing. The 45-year-old Wisconsin resident has 10 Interstate Racing Association titles and joined the World of Outlaws full-time last year.
David Gravel continued his strong season with a second-place finish at Talladega, maintaining his impressive average finish of 2.29. Logan Schuchart took third, while Cole and Carson Macedo completed the top five.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Cars next head to Kennedale Speedway Park in Texas for two nights of racing on March 14-15.
