Grey maintains its position as the most popular car color for the seventh consecutive year, accounting for 27.8% of new car registrations in 2024, with 543,464 grey vehicles registered - a 6.7% increase from 2023.

Black secured second place with 21.7% of registrations, while blue claimed third position at 14.9% - its first top-three appearance since 2010.

White followed closely in fourth place, sharing nearly the same market percentage as blue. Red completed the top five, though with its lowest market share since 2003.

Green cars saw increased popularity, reaching 3.5% - the highest since 2004. While particularly popular in London with 3,281 registrations, grey remained the top choice across all regions, including for electric vehicles.

Among the 93 colors tracked, pink proved least popular with just 145 registrations. Turquoise saw a significant decline from 3,627 registrations in 2023 to only 362 in 2024.
