Red Bull Racing's Christian Horner revealed that rookie driver Isack Hadjar impressed the team by outpacing Yuki Tsunoda during post-season testing in Abu Dhabi.

The test results played a role in Red Bull's decision to promote Liam Lawson as Max Verstappen's teammate for 2025, following Sergio Perez's departure, while giving Hadjar a race seat at RB.
"Isack is a raw talent with impressive speed," Horner noted. "While he needs some polishing, his performance in the test turned heads by being faster than Yuki." Hadjar's Formula 2 season was cut short due to technical issues at the final race, but his pace has consistently impressed the team.
Regarding Tsunoda, who was passed over for the Red Bull seat, Horner emphasized that opportunities could still arise. "Things change quickly in Formula 1," Horner explained. "Tsunoda knows he needs to keep demonstrating his potential, especially as RB is expected to make progress with their new management and technical upgrades in the coming season."
The team principal expects RB's performance to improve as they implement new rear suspension and gearbox components, potentially giving both Hadjar and Tsunoda a stronger platform to showcase their abilities in 2025.
