Isack Hadjar Earns F1 Promotion to RB for 2025 Season
Isack Hadjar will join RB (formerly known as AlphaTauri) for the 2025 Formula 1 season, partnering with Yuki Tsunoda and completing next year's F1 grid. The promotion comes after Liam Lawson's move to Red Bull Racing following Sergio Perez's departure.

The 20-year-old French driver, who finished as runner-up in Formula 2, expressed his excitement about the opportunity: "This is huge for myself, my family and all the people who have believed in me from the beginning. The journey from karting through the ranks in single-seaters, to now being in Formula 1 is the moment I've been working towards my whole life."
Team principal Laurent Mekies praised Hadjar's remarkable growth through junior categories and expects a strong partnership with the experienced Tsunoda. "He has the talent and drive necessary to compete at the highest level, and we have every confidence that he will adapt quickly and make a significant impact," Mekies stated.
The appointment marks significant changes in the 2025 F1 lineup, with eight out of ten teams featuring updated driver pairings. Only McLaren and Aston Martin will maintain their current driver lineups for the upcoming season.
Hadjar acknowledges the learning curve ahead but emphasizes his readiness to work alongside Tsunoda, who shares a similar Red Bull Junior Program background. The young driver's promotion represents the latest success story from Red Bull's renowned driver development program.
