The team's principal, Gunnar Jeannette, expressed confidence in the lineup while acknowledging the new challenge of torque sensors in GTD. AO Racing captured the 2024 championship in their debut GTD PRO season, securing three victories and the Michelin All Hands Award for pit lane efficiency.

Heinrich, who clinched multiple wins in 2024 with various co-drivers, aims to add major endurance race victories to his resume. "I'm very happy to be back with AO Racing and Rexy," Heinrich stated, emphasizing his goal to win prestigious events like Daytona, Sebring, and Petit Le Mans.

Bachler returns to full-time IMSA competition after his 2023 season with Pfaff Motorsports and winning the 2023-24 Asian Le Mans Series GT championship. Picariello, joining for endurance races, expressed enthusiasm about competing alongside Heinrich and Bachler in the iconic "Rexy" livery.

The 2025 season kicks off with the Roar Before the 24 test weekend (January 17-19), followed by the Rolex 24 At Daytona (January 23-26).
