Tom Tait clinched victory over Joey Rainey in a dramatic side-by-side drag race to the finish line, with the margin of victory measuring just 13 inches. The win marked Tait's second consecutive MX-5 Cup victory, propelling him to a one-point championship lead over Rainey.
