The Konica Minolta Business Center will continue serving as IMSA's paddock operations hub while adding new STEM initiatives. Students will gain hands-on experience through:

  • Interactions with team engineers and drivers
  • Visits to the IMSA Technology Center and race control
  • Access to corporate and OEM partners
  • Comprehensive in-school STEM curriculum

"Since 2015, we have started each new agreement with an innovative initiative that fulfills a greater purpose," said Michael Mathé, Chief Operating Officer at Konica Minolta. "The IMSA racing circuit provides students with real-world, high-intensity examples of STEM."

The STEM curriculum, developed with EVERFI, will be available to over 60,000 teachers at no cost. Key features include:

  • Interactive, game-based lessons
  • Scenario-based learning focused on motorsports
  • Career-oriented content in motorsports and technology
  • Integration with Konica Minolta's existing educational solutions

IMSA President John Doonan emphasized the program's importance: "STEM education and the opportunity to introduce IMSA to the next generation of engineers, mechanics, and business leaders has long been a passion of mine."

The program launches in January 2025 at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, with additional race markets to be announced later.
