Three German manufacturers have recognized outstanding achievements of IMSA GTD teams and drivers for their 2024 performance.

Russell Ward and Winward Racing dominated the season, securing both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD driver and team titles, as well as the Michelin Endurance Cup in their No. 57 Mercedes-AMG GT3. The team's impressive run included victories at three major endurance races - Rolex 24 At Daytona, Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, and Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen - plus an additional sprint victory.

Ward received special recognition at the Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Championship ceremony in Stuttgart, winning both the Overall Pro Driver and Pro Driver GT3 awards. These honors were based on a points system that considered race finishing positions, type, and distance.

Turner Motorsport claimed the BMW M Sports Trophy for teams for the second consecutive year. Their drivers Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher finished second in GTD driver standings, with the team marking their 557th BMW race in May. The award considered their performance across multiple championships, including IMSA's Michelin Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge.

At Porsche's Night of Champions in Atlanta, Wright Motorsports GTD drivers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer secured third place in the Porsche Cup. Their rookie season featured a victory in the Battle on the Bricks with Jan Heylen, and they also won the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Pro championship.

All three teams will compete in the upcoming Rolex 24 At Daytona, marking the start of the 2025 season.
