The British driver aims to complete all 312 laps at Phoenix, which will be her largest NASCAR oval experience to date. Her previous NASCAR oval racing was limited to Richmond Raceway's 0.750-mile track in the Xfinity Series.

"I want to do a good job minimizing mistakes," Legge said. "I want to stay out of trouble, show respect, and prove that I belong. If I can do those things, then I'll get the opportunity to do more."

Racing with Live Fast Motorsports, a part-time single-car team owned by B.J. and Jessica McLeod, Legge's deal came together in just 10 days. While she would have preferred debuting at Circuit of The Americas' road course, NASCAR approved her for Phoenix due to its shorter oval configuration.

To prepare for her debut, Legge has:

  • Completed simulator work with Chevrolet
  • Practiced pit stops at Hendrick Motorsports
  • Received support from Richard Childress Racing and Kaulig Racing

"I feel super well supported and as prepared as I possibly can be having never driven on an oval like this in a Next Gen car," Legge explained. "I've done a handful of stock car races in my career, so I feel like I'm either going to sink or swim."

Despite hoping to maintain a low profile for her debut, Legge acknowledges the timing coincides with International Women's Day, bringing additional attention to her historic entrance into the Cup Series.
