Kyle Larson Wins Richest Sprint Car Race in Australian History at Perth Motorplex
Kyle Larson dominated Australia's richest sprint car race, securing a historic $100,000 AUD ($62,000 USD) victory at Perth Motorplex in High Limit Racing's first international event. Racing in local owner Jason Pryde's No. 1K car, Larson charged from sixth position to win the main event, overtaking James McFadden with nine laps remaining.

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion's impact extended beyond the track, with merchandise selling out multiple times throughout the event. His presence drew fans from across Western Australia, many of whom discovered him through NASCAR before learning of his sprint car prowess.
Brad Sweet, Larson's brother-in-law and High Limit co-founder, praised his partner's ability to adapt quickly to new environments: "Kyle's just so captivating — the fact that he does all the forms of racing he does and do it so competitively. He takes a car he's never driven, and in three nights he wins the race from the third or fourth row."
Larson acknowledges his growing global influence while remaining humble: "I think I'm just a race car driver, and that's most of what I focus on. But there are times when I finally do open my lens a little bit more and can pay attention and see it."

Following his victory, Larson immediately flew to Tulsa for the Tulsa Shootout, managing to practice, attend the drivers' meeting, and celebrate his son Cooper's second birthday - all on the same calendar day thanks to crossing the International Date Line.
High Limit Racing has already announced their return to Perth for 2025, increasing the winner's purse to $110,000 AUD ($68,000 USD), further cementing Larson's legacy in international motorsports.
