The Fayetteville, NC driver capitalized on a front-stretch pileup to advance from ninth to sixth place. After passing Zack Carley and Mark Whitener for second, Wilson engaged in an intense battle with Sam Seawright for the lead, exchanging slide jobs until Seawright retired with mechanical issues.

Former Sunshine Nationals winner Mark Whitener mounted a late charge but couldn't overcome Wilson's pace, settling for second place. Zack Carley from Freedom, NY, secured third in his first Volusia appearance, while Jake Rainey and Michael Page completed the top five.

Notable performances included:

  • Quick Time: Skylar Marlar (16.651)
  • Hard Charger: Wil Herrington (+29)
  • Last Chance Showdown Winners: Kaede Loudy, Layton Sullivan, Austin Yarborough, Mikey Kopka

"I was a little nervous, but I knew that I was really good," Wilson said after securing Longhorn Factory Team's first Late Model Palooza victory. "That was the most fun I had in a race car in a really long time, the track was pretty badass."

The 54th Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals continues at Volusia Speedway Park on January 30, featuring the American Sprint Car Series and DIRTcar UMP Modifieds.
