Since its 2017 debut, the RC F GT3 has evolved from initial struggles with 3GT to remarkable success under Vasser Sullivan's management. Notable achievements include victories at prestigious IMSA events like the Rolex 24 At Daytona and Petit Le Mans, culminating in the 2023 GTD PRO title.

As the oldest model in the WeatherTech SportsCar championship, the transition to the new GT3 GR comes at an opportune time. The successor, reportedly featuring a turbocharged V8, has been spotted testing in Europe. U.S. testing is expected to commence early this year, preparing for its racing debut at Daytona in January 2026.
"We're working to develop the next generation of sports cars, including a new GT3 race car," confirms Jeff Bal, Lexus Motorsports senior manager, emphasizing the brand's commitment to racing evolution while maintaining confidentiality about specific developments.
