The Acura Meyer Shank Racing team achieved a remarkable second-place finish in their IMSA GTP comeback at the 2025 Rolex 24 Hours, with their No. 60 Acura ARX-06 finishing just 1.3 seconds behind the winning Penske Porsche.

After a year-long pause, MSR returned with an expanded two-car effort. Team owner Mike Shank's pre-race confidence proved justified, as driver Tom Blomqvist mounted an impressive challenge in the final stint, passing the No. 6 Porsche before narrowly missing out on victory to Felipe Nasr's leading Porsche.

Blomqvist, alongside teammates Colin Braun, Felix Rosenqvist, and Scott Dixon, maintained his impressive Rolex 24 record with his fourth consecutive podium finish in as many starts. The team's performance was particularly noteworthy given their struggles with tire management throughout the race.

The team's second car, the No. 93, finished eighth in class after a rear suspension failure overnight, but the overall performance validated MSR's decision to field two cars for the 2025 season.

Colin Braun reflected on the achievement: "Considering all other GTP teams have been together for years, and we've reassembled and added people, we have a lot of potential to improve further. If you'd offered us second place when we first tested in November, we'd have taken it."

The result marks a successful return for MSR, demonstrating their ability to compete at the highest level despite the challenges of rebuilding their program after a year's absence.
