NASCAR Veteran Richard Buck Named New Indy NXT Series Director
Three months following Levi Jones's departure as Penske Entertainment's Indy NXT director, Richard Buck has been appointed as the new leader of IndyCar's development series. Buck brings extensive motorsports experience, having previously served as a crew chief for Penske Racing and as NASCAR's Cup Series managing director.

Buck's impressive career includes working with racing legends Rick Mears, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Danny Sullivan. His appointment follows an extensive search that considered former IndyCar drivers and current team members.
"I am thrilled to return to my racing roots in IndyCar," Buck stated. "The opportunity to be the director of Indy NXT was something I could not pass up. The developmental series is on the rise as it continues to advance talent to the premier open-wheel series in North America."
IndyCar president Jay Frye expressed confidence in the appointment: "The competition is fierce, and the future is bright for Indy NXT by Firestone. With his vast motorsports experience, Richard is a tremendous fit for the series' leadership role."
Buck will officially begin his new role on January 6, with the series' 14-race calendar commencing on March 2 at St. Petersburg.
