Norris Dominates Abu Dhabi Practice as McLaren Shows Strong Pace
Lando Norris dominated second practice at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, leading a McLaren one-two with teammate Oscar Piastri following 0.234 seconds behind.

Piastri, making his first appearance at the track after missing FP1 for rookie testing, lost most of his time to Norris in the first sector but maintained competitive pace throughout the rest of the lap.
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz finished fourth, 0.582s off the pace, while teammate Charles Leclerc placed sixth, hindered by traffic and facing a 10-place grid penalty for a new battery installation.
Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg impressed with fourth place, while Lewis Hamilton secured fifth for Mercedes. The top 10 was completed by:
- Valtteri Bottas (Sauber)
- Kevin Magnussen (Haas)
- Alex Albon (Williams)
- Yuki Tsunoda (RB)
Notably, Red Bull Racing struggled with Max Verstappen placing 17th, suffering from severe understeer issues. Teammate Sergio Perez managed 14th position.
The session ended early for Williams rookie Franco Colapinto after floor damage from hitting curbs at Turn 9.
