Pato O'Ward set the pace in the opening morning session of IndyCar testing at Sebring International Raceway, leading a field of 14 drivers with a fastest lap of 52.347s around the short course.

Despite a delayed start due to technical issues with the medical trailer, testing began at 9:35am under warm, clear conditions. Reigning champion Alex Palou, who tested the new larger Cosworth steering wheel, finished second with a time of 52.495s, followed by Arrow McLaren's Christian Lundgaard in third (52.663s).
