Key changes include the departure of works drivers Andre Lotterer, Frederic Makowiecki, and Dane Cameron. The restructuring splits up the successful pairing of Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy from the No.6 Porsche 963. Jaminet now teams with Matt Campbell in the No.6, while Tandy joins IMSA GTP Champion Felipe Nasr in the No.7.

Porsche Motorsport Director Urs Kuratle explains the decision was based on multiple factors, including personality compatibility, driver size, and driving styles. Campbell and Jaminet will additionally compete in non-conflicting WEC rounds.

The three-driver setup means more evenly distributed driving duties during the 24-hour race. Porsche Penske Motorsport Managing Director Jonathan Diuguid notes this creates a more structured rotation plan, though they maintain flexibility for the final hours of racing.

The team's strategy allows for adjustments based on performance during the first 18 hours, similar to last year when Felipe Nasr took control for the final quarter. While no official reserve driver is assigned, Julien Andlauer from the Proton Competition No.5 Porsche could potentially step in if needed.

The revised driver lineup includes reigning FIA World Hypercar endurance champions Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor, reinforcing Porsche Penske's commitment to maintaining a competitive edge in both IMSA and WEC championships.

With consistent weather conditions expected throughout the race, the team is positioned to leverage each driver's strengths while maintaining the flexibility to adapt their strategy for the crucial final hours of competition.
