Rosberg X Racing Ends Operations After Four Successful Years in Extreme E
Nico Rosberg's Extreme E racing team (RXR) has announced its closure after four successful years in the all-electric off-road series. The team competed since the series' inception in 2021 and established itself as the most successful team in Extreme E history.

Team founder Nico Rosberg described the closure as "bittersweet," emphasizing that RXR was created not just for racing but to make a real difference through environmental and equality initiatives.
The team will not participate in the series' transformation to hydrogen-powered Extreme H in 2025. Johan Kristoffersson, who combined his RXR duties with seven World Rallycross championships, praised the team's impact beyond racing, while Ahlin-Kottulinsky highlighted the team's environmental efforts, including tree planting and youth inspiration programs.
The team's legacy includes pioneering sustainable racing while maintaining competitive excellence, setting a benchmark for future environmental motorsport initiatives.
