Rowland Dominates Jeddah E-Prix to Strengthen Championship Lead
Oliver Rowland secured his second victory of the Formula E season at the Jeddah E-Prix, extending his championship lead with a commanding performance. The Nissan driver finished 5.844 seconds ahead of pole-sitter Taylor Barnard after executing a strategic race plan.

The race marked a historic moment with the first all-British podium in Formula E history. Barnard claimed second place, successfully defending against Jake Hughes in the closing laps. Jake Dennis impressed with a remarkable drive from 19th to fourth position.
Strategic Attack Mode usage proved crucial throughout the race. Rowland's superior energy management, combined with a longer second Attack Mode period (six minutes compared to Barnard's four), helped secure his dominant victory.
Notable performances came from Nick Cassidy and Stoffel Vandoorne, who climbed from 17th and last place to finish fifth and sixth respectively. Jean-Eric Vergne settled for seventh after falling from podium contention late in the race.
Championship implications:
- Rowland now leads by 17 points
- Barnard moves to second overall
- Nissan takes lead in teams' championship
- NEOM McLaren rises to second in teams' standings
The race saw three retirements: Mitch Evans (brake-by-wire issue), Antonio Felix da Costa, and Maximilian Guenther (opening lap incidents).
