The Nissan driver's victory came from a strategic energy management approach. Without the Pit Boost feature offering an additional 10 percent energy, Saturday's race returned to a traditional GEN3 format, emphasizing early energy conservation followed by a sprint finish.

Rowland's race execution was flawless as he maintained efficiency while building an energy advantage early on. "I was in a fortunate position in the beginning where I could be efficient, not be under too much pressure, and managed to build up a bit of energy," he explained.

The race presented unique challenges with lower energy availability compared to the previous day, creating potential risks of contact, punctures, and damage in the tightly packed field. Rowland's careful management and clear communication with his engineer proved crucial, especially after experiencing similar situations in Misano and Sao Paulo.

Communication improvements played a vital role in his success, with Rowland noting, "The communication was really good with my engineer today. He was able to keep me informed of who was doing what, and thankfully it was right." This marked a significant improvement from the previous day's race where radio issues had limited their communication to about 40 percent effectiveness.
